Alexandria Headlands and Kawana Beaches (continued)

Alexandria Headland's the swell was in the wrong spot for a novice surfer/swimmer like myself, I would have ended up in the rocks.
There is a huge triathlon tomorrow in Mooloolaba, I'm gonna enter and see if I can finish.  Wait, just kidding, but not really, but seriously I would pass out from heat waiting for the race to start.
Kawana Beach after we got done.
Bad ass.
History, a little negative history, but a big oil tanker had a spill trying to make it through Cyclone Hamish (whose idea was that?) and it ruined Morteon Island which is a huge tourist attraction in this area.  It's rite off the coast and small amount of the oil made it to the mainland beaches  I just read the sign and thought that the ocean looked better than the fox ever will so I jumped rite in.

Alexandria Headlands and Kawana Beaches

One of the entrances to Kawana beach.  It's an un-patrolled beach, don't tell my mother so it's real wide open.  No one goes to it and it's one of the only beaches I've seen that you can run up and down it for miles.  And it's real bad ass.  James and I attempted to surf it when it was way to choppy and we got our asses kicked by the waves.  We both managed to catch a couple waves, but  we ended up drinking more of the ocean than surfing it.
This is Kawana, if you walk past the point at the end you get to Mooloolaba beach and then if you walk further you hit Alex Heads.
Dan Murphy, I really don't know what to say other than when we were driving from Alex Heads to Kawana and we spotted it.  James and I were on the same wave length and he managed to pull a knifty car maneuver, not killing us but pretty close, to turn in and hence we got this photo.  So Murph, someone is using your name and face to sell liquor at the lowest guaranteed prices!
Here is a photo of me at Alex Heads with a kick ass surf board!
Alrite, so apparently the waves get real large in March...March Madness.  So it's surf's up all this week!  I finally managed to take my camera to the beach so here are some photos of our little adventure.  One of the guys in the apartment next to me, James and I went on a mission.
This is a picture of a pretty nice swell on Alexandria Headlands.  The wave is about 8-10 ft. high.

Wakeboard Cable Park in Bli Bli, Australia!

Doubles ride into the sunset.
A blurry pornstar...and i guess this blog has to be PG-13 so blurry is alrite.

Very stoked!!!
Yeah so apparently all the university students are able to go to this cable park on Wednesday's starting now so I went and checked it out, there was just no way that I could not wakeboard when it is so accessible.  I had a great time and I do have to say that cable park wakeboarding and wakeboarding behind a boat are very different styles.  I loved it, nonetheless.

Brisbane Part 3

The Casino at nite, we couldn't help but come back one more time.  I didn't go into debt and my winnings paid for a beer later on that nite!
When we were walking thru the mall, Darth Vader and his truste storm trooper had the star wars theme song playing on a boom box as they walked around.  BAD ASS costumes!
2:00 left in the game the brisbane broncos scored one point to put them up 19-18 which was the final score, the Streaker takes his clothes off, jumps directly over the cheerleaders in pink uniforms, grazes one of the cheerleeders in the face and then proceeds to make his way to the opposite side of the field and then gets tackled and leaves to a standing ovation.
Suncorp stadium, we were just walking around and we bought tickets for the season opener of the NRL.  Rugby!!! Notice our nosebleed seats.  45,000 people attended.

Brisbane Part 2

We went shopping in the Queen St. and the Queen Plaza mall it is an array of shops for about 2 km that somehow constitute a mall.  Anyway there was an orchestra playing in the middle of one of the walk ways!
This is for Dan Murphy.  Apparently this pub is a franchise, the full name of the pub is literally Dan Murphy's and this is the third one I've seen, so I just want to let you know that someone is using your name to sell beer and fun without your permission.
After we were done in the city we wondered back to our hostel and this is Club LA (Lord Alfred ).  We went here after the rugby game on friday nite.  It was happening after the season opener of a brisbane broncos win!
After the ferris wheel we wondering into the Treasury Casino.  I played the slots, was tempted to play texas hold'em but I was not equipped for the game.  I would have been missing my bow tie, suit jacket, and sun glasses.  I did however walk away with a grand total winnings of $12 from the penny slots!
Another shot from the ferris wheel of brisbane.  It looks like gotham city with the rain cloud over it.

Brisbane Part One

Brisbane, from the top of the ferris wheel.  Which was air conditioned by the way!
Some garden that looked sweet.
Hmmm...A ferris wheel, I wonder what I would do if I was afraid of heights.
No more room to build a hwy, no problem you just build it over water.
Aussie Way Backpackers.  Where we stayed on friday nite, it was a hell of hike from the train station to get there.
