Sydney

ba dum, ba dum, ba dum.... yeah so we went into Sydney's Wildlife center and aquarium and the aquarium was just massive. They had everything from coral to sharks.
Up close and personal.
A see ray, They had a couple of tunnels for each of the different aquariums that you could walk under to see the marine life.
I thought is was a cool pic. I think that's a leopard shark, but don't quote me.
Guess who found Nemo? Him and I are becoming great friends.
A wallaby.
Koala, one of the best pictures you can get of one, they are frickin' always asleep. They evolved to lounge. Evolution at it's greatest, they look so comfortable no matter what position they are in.
Roo.
Got this ones for you TK. Happy 100 years.
The Sydney bridge. You can climb up and across it, but time did not allow for that.

Sydney Opera House

The view from out in the harbor, Its a beautiful building.
View from the side, just leaving the harbor.
This is the backside that looks out into sydney's harbor. We took a tour and we got to see the 5 completely different performing centers. We got to watch and hear the Sydney Orchestra rehearsing for their concert which was later that nite. The sounds were so smooth and amazing.
This is the geometric solution that the architects finally arrived at for the building of the Opera House. If I remember correctly it was finished in 1973 and it was started some 13 or 14 years earlier under the assumption that it would take 3 years to build and about $1 millon. It later turned out to be much longer and the final cost was $102 million. So I was pretty sure than just about anyone could've gotten a better estimate on the dollar amount. They went over budget, no big deal the place is a landmark now. And just a sidenote, the tiles on the roof are self-cleaning-how sweet is that?
The view from the front entrance.

Bondi Beach

This is the beachside town next to Bondi.

I walked from one end of the cliff/through the beach to the other end. The waves just decorate the rocks.
Where I started.
So there is a show here called Bondi Rescue and this is the lifeguard headquarters that it takes place in so just a cool sidenote. There is also Bondi Vet. but I couldn't find the vet.

Here is sweet as swimming pool on the ocean and to the left is the iceberg bar. Yes the waves do crash up into the pool.

The famous (well at least in Australia) Bondi Beach. I guess it's an A-list beach and it pretty much speaks for itself. The sand is awesome, the views are awesome and to top it off the waves are near perfect everyday for surfing.

Adventure into the Hinterlands...Rock Falls

It was a late nite and I was feeling a little jazzy after the hike.
Rock Falls.  a random rapids we stumbled across on our hike.
Some more of the Australia Jungle.
I was gonna save him, but it looked like a good picture.
Crikey!  My best impression of the late great Steve Irwin.  I was so close to jumping in a wrestling a croc, jk, but seriously I brought the intensity.

The Dreaming '09

This is James house we stayed at.  It's on top of a mountain and everything in it is all great carpentry.  Very relaxing.
We were front stage for the Blue King Brown concert.  Awesome!  I have more videos of the Dreaming than pictures.  Ree is on the left and James is of course yelling.
I have a video to better show what this is, but it's people riding this weird contraption around, interesting to say the least.
Ahhh the didgeridoos, we got to hear a lot of them playing all throught the festival, but this was a shop were they were handmaking them on the spot.  Very cool sound.
This is an indigenous african drumline.  They were sweet, I again have more videos than i have pictures.

Byron Bay

Stuffing my face full of 'Fish and Chips' on the beach.  I love the fact that I wore this jersey on this particular day, it later provided me with free drinks all nite.  My hair is awesome btw.
Body surfing
We really do own the ocean.
I love beaches, what starts with a b and ends in h...not a bitch, BEACH!
Byron Bay 64 km.  New South Wales.  We (James, Jonna, Jess and myself)  roadtripped down to Byron Bay, Jess shopped, and while James and I went to the beach and Jonna took all the pictures.
