Tetri Beach in Noosa

This is on the drive home, this is actually Peregian Beach with the full moon out, no clouds.
Me after a long day of surfing and being a beachbum.  I'm tired.
I didn't make this, but I thought it was cool.  I'm standing where I think the sunshine coast is.
Tetri Beach as the sun goes down.
Just got in from the amazing surf and the sun was setting on Tetri beach.
Tetri beach we we got there.  It's called Tertri beach of all the tea trees behind it-sidenote.

Still Tetri Beach.
Look at those amazingly smooth waves.  It was the calmest surf and the waves were glorious.

Peregian Beach and Mudjimba Beach

Baywatch anyone, except better.  This is peregian beach.  We attempted to surf it.
Sometime you just have to turn things upside down.
Urban walking, you know what i'm talking about.
Despite what you think, there is a beach to the right of this picture.
Mudjimba beach, and the beach is off to the right.

Mt. Coolum

This is Mudjimba island and here is the aboriginal story behind it.  I thought it was cool (um)--bad joke, but judge for yourself.  The name "Maroochy" comes from a local Aboriginal legend. It tells how Ninderry, a rival from another clan, stole a beautiful young woman called Maroochy from Coolum, the man whom she was to marry.

When Coolum rescued his bride by stealth, Ninderry chased them. He caught up with them, and, throwing a boomerang, succeeded in knocking off Coolum's head, which rolled into the sea and is represented today by Mudjimba Island. His body is represented by Mount Coolum. For his treacherous attack, Ninderry was turned into stone by the wrathful gods.

Maroochy fled inland, where she wept so copiously that her tears flowed down the mountain to form the Maroochy River.

A different view of the hike.
I may have been a little over excited.
So from the top of Mt. Coolum, you can see Caloundra in the way way back behind the pennisula/lighthouse.  Then comes the peninsula (Kawana beach is behind it.  Mooloolaba is on the turn of the corner then Alexandria headlands, Marachydore and Coolum is the closest town that is cut off, kinda.  I hope that makes sense, but that's pretty much the extent of all my beach travels from the top of one mountain, kinda sad, so we decided to go to some more beaches after the climb.
A nice view from the top.  Where's wALdo?  Good fun.
